By Chief Mike Cerutti Osagie

"Every man is said to have his peculiar ambition. Whether it be true or not, I can say for one that I have no other so great as that of being truly esteemed of my fellow men, by rendering myself worthy of their esteem. How far I shall succeed in gratifying this ambition, is yet to be developed"

--March 9, 1832 First Political Announcement by Abraham Lincoln

In the world of politics, good governance and ambitious thinking, the name Sir Abraham Lincoln holds dominance

The former one time president is a study in political strategist and perseverance having failed in other office of power 9 times before being elected as USA President

In one of his speech he bared his ambitious drive stating that  every man is said to have his peculiar ambition. Whether it be true or not, I can say for one that I have no other so great as that of being truly esteemed of my fellow men, by rendering myself worthy of their esteem.

He offered himself up and went on to be one of the best President America and the indeed the whole world ever had till date

Now as if taking  motivational tonic from Abraham Lincoln, a Nigerian born top academician, technocratic brand ,new breed politician who is global head, professional Training Support International in person  of Professor Christopher Imumolen has formally  declared his intention to run in the 2023 presidential election

The  Academic and philanthropist first declared his intention on January 31 in the nations capital city of  Abuja ,stating to the world that  he was willing to address the leadership deficit that plagues the nation s development over the years

According to Imumolen vice chancellor of the Togo Global Wealth University the leadership deficit has been largely responsible for the situation in the country

He stressed the need for a new orientation in Nigeria ahead of the 2023 general election Nigeria needs a new kind of leadership

In his words then ,he posited thus

" Things are not working out here because there is a leadership challenge I have traveled to many parts of this country and I can boldly say that we have what it takes to make our country one of the best in the world

"We ve been slighted for so many years and many other nations do not count for much with the green passport What we must do now is work hard to ensure that our children do not go through the pains that we have already suffered We believe in our time Nigeria will be a better place Nigeria is rich but it is crippled because it is kept in the pockets of few connected people he said

The businessman who vowed to change Nigeria s fortunes forever said he possessed the necessary qualities and ability to bring Nigeria to a level where it could start competing with the world s advanced nations Imumolen who blamed unemployment as one of the main causes of the criminality that threatens the peace of Nigeria vowed to address the cause of insecurity and poverty if given the opportunity

"How can a country prosper without adequate welfare for its citizens How do we expect our country to be respected when we are rightly seen as the poverty capital of the world he asked He called on the youth of Nigeria not to allow themselves to be used in the 2023 general election saying

"Let us make a decision not to travel the old road again In 2023 let us vote for a leadership that will change this country forever so that we are all proud to call ourselves Nigerians Nigeria will be great again he said then

And not ready to toy with his ambition to lead Nigeria out of the present sad economic state, the technocrat professor again last week staged a state of the Nation world press conference in Lagos to speak on the way

* The professor spoke on sundry Nation issues like ASUU endless strike, insecurity in the land and the chronic fuel crises

Held at the posh at the posh office  of the Joint Professionals Training and Support Int’l on Allen Avenue, Ikeja , Professor Christopher Imumolen, Cerutti Media subsidiary platform World industry leaders Magazine was there and reports how the new breed politician condemned the ensuing strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, describing it as avoidable tragedy resulting from systemic failure and an injury consciously inflicted on the future of youths.

The prof. who also frowned at the spate of insecurity and hardship in Nigeria said it is unfortunate that the Federal Govt until now has not been able to resolve its problem with ASUU since 2009, a situation which has once again stalled the educational progress of the Nigerian youths.

“It is sad that the FG has failed to find a panacea to their face off with ASUU until it has once again infringed on the education of the youths”, Imumolen said.

The prof. also disclosed that education is one vital sector as essential as health and feeding, a reason why if it is neglected for a moment, the future of young Nigerians will be tampered with, adding that policies that would make it mandatory for public officers to enrol their children in Nigerian schools so that they will be committed to building or enhancing the sector instead of treating it with levity is also of essence.

On the spate of insecurity and rising crime situations, he asserted the need for a system that will drastically reduce hardship which results from inflation, pointing that hardship naturally spurs citizens to commit crimes, condemning a situation where vicious crimes such as banditry and kidnapping have become rampant.

” One of the contributing factors to crime and insecurity is lack of patriotism because citizens are not happy about the insincerity of the political class and the poor reward system for patriotic and positively productive Nigerians.

“The pension scheme is also poor and unstable in Nigeria, and it affects the way people view their country.

” Americans are proud of America because their nation encourages merit and creates conducive atmospheres for wellbeing and welfare of citizens.

“Unfortunately, the case in Nigeria is that citizens do not love and speak well of the country. The rate of migration or diffusion to other nations where they can find better conditions is alarming, in fact with the way it is going, if great nations open their borders to Nigerians, this country will become empty”, Imumolen cried.

On the case of the fuel scarcity presently ravaging the country, Prof Imumolen said the story surrounding the current scarcity is unfortunate and annoying, stating that if Nigeria is a working system, it will be impossible for an adulterated supply to circulate, stressing that it will damage engines which will impose costs upon the masses who have already suffered so much!

Prof. Imumolen proceeded to lament a situation where youths of the nation who are so gifted naturally have been frustrated to the point that they have accepted crime as the only rescue terrain, emphasising that a thorough leadership revolution that will enthrone sincere and patriotic people is essential at this very crucial time.

He opined, ” with a sincere leader who will enhance and revitalise the Nigerian space by creating enabling situations and engaging the youths with basic needs and infrastructure, criminality and acts of internal terrorism will give way to peace, security and economic stability.

“Strategies which will combat widespread criminality are already on our blueprint, but I won’t disclose them due to the sensitivity surrounding the issue.

” When the system is corrected, Nigerians will conform to order and law.

“No one can argue these points because when Nigerians travel to countries with good leadership and working system, they abide by rules, knowing that the arm of effective laws will grip them if they misbehave”.

Prof Imumolen therefore called on Nigerians to look in the direction of bringing about a leadership rebirth through the ballot without towing party lines, urging that the right individuals with integrity, zeal, know how, patriotism and the heart to sacrifice for the good of all citizens should be considered.

He however prayed for the overwhelming support of Nigerians come 2023, assuring that Nigeria will prosper again under his presidency.

~ No doubt a firebrand intellectual, like Abraham Lincoln who got the opportunity after 9 attempt, will Nigerians hang her faith on this young professor whose philanthropic deeds have placed his mame in Guinness book of world records?

Only time will tell!!!
