THE BIBLE AND HEALTHY CHURCH.

" For ever O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven" Psalm 119:89

"Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against you" Psalm 119:11

"Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word" Psalm 119:9

God has graciously given us his word to change, transform, correct, rebuke and build us up in Him, until every CHRISTIAN is perfect, thoroughly furnished unto every good work.

Healthy churches must be built on the undiluted word of God. Healthy pastors must be enriched in the whole counsel of God's word and use it to feed, nurture and build up the members in the will and ways of the Lord. The word of God is the OWNERS MANUAL, which has been given to us. There is no way a church or denomination can do the will of God without strict adherence to the whole counsel of God.

PRESENT CHALLENGE.

Looking clearly at the church scene today, biblical illiteracy is very rife in the church, simply because modern day preachers have no sound bible training and the word of God is no longer given the preeminence in the church.

Today, preachers preach esoteric messages, muddle up the Bible, wrest the scriptures to their own damnation and teach things that has no relevance to the eternal value of people's lives. Modern church's thrives much more on celebrations, ceremonies and collections than on doctrine of godliness. In fact there is a whole generations of Christians that are not taught the true doctrines of the Bible.

The more reason that errors, erroneous teachings and misinterpretations of the Bible is very prevailing today. Just yesterday, a supposed Christian national newspaper columnist wrote that "the blood of Jesus is the Holy Spirit and that Jesus did not shed His blood on Calvary but on Pentecost day, when the Holy Spirit came down". Can you beat that? 

Well, what do you expect when every Ada,Adamu and Àde believes they can teach the Bible, without proper and sound scriptural training. Yet, doctors, lawyers and engineers don't allow untrained personnel to interpret their work for them!

WAY OUT.

Every pastor, leader and minister must go back to the Bible. You must live and declare the whole counsel of God systematically to your people. It is then your church will become scripturally healthy. If you haven't got a sound bible training, please go back to get one. Every pastor needs to learn the principle of hermeneutics--bible interpretations, else you will fall into errors, as many are doing now.

There must be TENETS of Faith in your church. Your tenets of faith is your bible and doctrinal convictions. That is what you teach to your people over and over again.
