Opeyemi Owolabi-Amuwa is an exceptional computer scientist and programmer who is using her coding experience to redefine people's image. She is a graduate of Computer science with cisco certification from the prestigious Ogun State Institute of Technology an award winning institution by Jamb as the most compliance citadel of knowledge in Nigeria  with a price of over 75million naira. She hails from Badagry, Lagos state. 

The Genesis of her discovery

Her success story started during her IT days when she was working in a law firm. She discovered that most of the lawyers there resumed to work by 6:30am to have their face beaten by artist daily and paid at the end of the month. Therefore "I assumed  it was a good business then I ventured into it. It gave me the idea, different scope and knowledge towards makeover," she said.  

Looking at the Economy downturn all over the world, people have been asking about the relevancy of the Makeup business in the nearest future and my answers will always be, yes! It will be relevant!  Let me take you through the makeover lecture for clarity. Makeover is life! Everything we do in our day to day activities without makeover is incomplete. Make over starts with your smile. The way you brush your teeth down to type of shoe you wear. Take care of your costume and your confidence will take care of itself. "With right fashion, every female would be a flame." "Fashion doesn't make you perfect, but it makes you pretty."  that is my regular turn on. It keeps updating and upgrading. And I think that is necessary She lectured.

Religious Views

The religious view of either Christian, Muslim and traditionist is a general orientation program. Some don't really understand what makeup entails. Make up is an art. Not everyone can just be great at makeup. Yes, everyone can easily apply foundation or mascara. However, blending eyeshadow to create the perfect smoky eye is now rated as skill.  With makeup, there are so many techniques to try, it's very difficult to become bored with it.

You can cover up insecurities. If you have a pimple or acne scars, you can cover it right up. If you have dark circles from not sleeping the night before, you can cover that too. If you have a scar on your eyebrow that makes a gap that you don't like, you can fill it in. Many people disagree with this "covering up insecurities" statement because they claim that a person is not able to show their natural beauty. However, if a person does not feel comfortable because they have a pimple, then how beautiful can they truly be if they don't have self confidence in the first place. I'm not saying that makeup can make people "pretty" or is the cure to happiness. But if the difference between you having a better day or a bad day depends on whether or not people can see your acne, then makeup can help.

Biggest challenge

Big challenge is people using toxic creams on their face leading to bleached face. Working on them will not bring out your creative concept. God has created us as a unique and valuable personality with our peculiarity. There is no need of recreation from the way we were created by God using toxic cream to damage our destiny via bleaching. It exposes skins to diverse diseases which can lead to cancer of the skin. If you are black, maintain it accordingly and if you are yellow pawpaw sustain your skin texture by abstaining from bleaching.

Spouse Contributions

She is happily married to Mr Mayowa Amuwa with a beautiful child. She declared that her spouse is the diesel fueling her creativity car. Many  times, she  had decided to let go but he keeps pushing her. To be frank, he is my encourager, influencer and success catalyst that energize my soaring higher in this beauty business. I can say it aloud that, he is my vertebra and I will always appreciate him she referenced. 

 

Finally, what are your advice to upcoming makeup artist and Youths in general? She stated the following as a  wake up advice to reality:

1.Practice. Practice, Research on a veteran in the business  (mentor). Get a formal education. Go online and market yourself and brand. No matter what, don't overdo it on the fingerling. Take any job you can and bring your best attitude. Love your job and Wear flats.

In raising successors for sustainability, I started building others to be part of my project team in order to sustain the beauty redefine quality tempo. Please always do the best because your job is your identity and you must do it well with best attitude, she admonished.
